I want to celebrate International Women’s Day by focussing on a group of remarkable women who have an impressive track record in advocacy. Their individual accomplishments are impressive but collectively they have come together as The BC Parents of Special Needs Children, with a focus on Action for Equitable Access to Education .
As is very evident, I hope, this blog and website focus on children described as gifted and their parents or other advocates. However, we are stronger if we work with advocates for children who are living with a wide spectrum of special needs. For that reason, I’m looking forward to the day-long conference in Vancouver on April 2nd: Advocating for Special Needs in BC Schools. Tickets are going fast so sign up now and send an email to via firstname.lastname@example.org if you’ll be there and want to discuss advocacy for children described as gifted over lunch!
