The British Columbia branch of the international Odyssey of the Mind organization is registered as the Creative Problem Solving Society (CPSS). They are co-hosting a seminar in Coquitlam on Oct.20th.
Odyssey of the Mind describes itself as:
an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college. Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics.
Registered as a BC charity, CPSS sponsors Odyssey of the Mind activities in BC. The upcoming seminar is hosted in cooperation with the Gifted Children’s Association of BC, the association of teachers of gifted, AEGTCCBC, and the Coquitlam School District.
The seminar on Oct. 20th is entitled Creating Tomorrow’s Innovators, and features Ian Byrd, who is also the keynote speaker at the AEGTCCBC workshop the following day on Oct 21st. Visit our Events Page for registration links for both events.
